Unit 2

Registered with Ofsted for 5 young people and inspected as 'outstanding'

Unit 2 is Lifetime Opportunities’ second residential home for young people with learning disabilities autism and associated needs. Admission is for young people aged 8-17 on arrival who fall within our statement of purpose and function (which is available upon request). Staffing ratios are flexible and based upon the needs of the resident children (usually on a 1:1 basis) and the wishes of placing authorities. The team is headed by a Registered Manager and supported by an Assistant Unit Manager and Senior Residential Support Workers.

There are six bedrooms, five of which are en-suite. Two bedrooms and their en-suites are exceptionally large and built to cater for older children or those with lots of personal belongings. There are also two further single toilets and a large family bathroom.

The property has been finished to the highest standards and the quality of Lifetime Opportunities staff care and commitment will match this. Set on a private cul-de-sac with an electric gated entrance, this large spacious property has been custom built for the needs of young people.

With a large dining area, separate homework/play/craft room the property is large enough to allow individual children freedom and space.

A large private high fenced garden is accessible off the dining room, with beautiful views of the surrounding countryside of the Rossendale Valley.

The property has been built into the hill so, consequently, has a number of short flights of stairs and different rooms are at different levels. This would make it unsuitable for anyone with complex mobility needs or very unstable / unpredictable epilepsy. If you have these requirements, please consider Unit 1.

The house is serviced by a company vehicle that is valeted weekly including a full vehicle safety check by our own maintenance team.
